I'm Tate, a writer and trainee Breathwork coach learning under one of the leading facilitators in the field.
A year ago, after the first UK lockdown, I felt completely lost and overwhelmed by anxiety. I was paralysed by indecision, doing nothing that made me feel fulfilled, creative and passionate and didn't know what to change first.
A year later, and after a lot of internal and external work, I moved out of the city, felt brave enough to write again, have been able to leave my job and am training in a field totally unrelated to my previous work.
Through doing the work to finally get to where I am now, I want to talk honestly about the topics we often shy away from for fear of their enormity or sounding too 'woo woo'. This includes therapy, death, living losses, self healing, our purpose, human connection, nature, embodiment, intuition and more. I'm interested in exploring the bridge between the spiritual and scientific to make the sometimes more elusive areas of consciousness work feel accessible and applicable to your life.
It's no secret that reconciling with these things is made easier through practices like meditation and most profoundly for me, breathwork, which allowed me to truly quiet my mind and nervous system to get to a place where managing your anxiety and making changes to your life feels manageable and achievable.
